Regarding the sacrifices to obtain one of these properties we have to say that:
a) About 65% of these properties are located in Antelope Valley, crossing the Angeles National Forest, that is, near the desert areas of Los Angeles County.
b) Some of them require major repairs and therefore the lowest selling price. Some of them are not currently habitable and therefore home investors are the most interested in them.
c) About 20% of them are studios or one-bedroom properties. This limits access for families with school-age children.
d) Not all of them are in high-demand urban areas or close to big industrial areas, and therefore moving in these homes may require long driving distances.
e) Not all of these properties are cheap. Yes, these are properties with a face value lower than $300,000 but many of them are small enough to live, and therefore their value per square foot is high.
